Labor theory: Evasive “fact checkers”

With the “lab leak” theory regarding the Covid-19 outbreak having quite suddenly and out of the blue gained mainstream legitimacy following recent reports by the Wall Street Journal and other American media outlets, and Dr. Anthony Fauci quite suddenly showing himself open to the possibility of a SARS-CoV-2 escape from a bio-lab, highly complacent establishment “fact-checkers” have recently found themselves scrambling to salvage their reputations and legitimacy.

Who actually lost journalistic legitimacy here?
Until not so long ago, the theory of a possible escape of SARS-CoV-2 from a bio-lab was still categorically ruled out by those same “fact-checkers” and labeled a “debunked conspiracy theory.”

One of the “fact-checkers” most affected by this, and now bending his own knee, is Glenn Kessler of the Washington Post. Last year, among other things, Kessler addressed a Twitter message to Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz after Ted Cruz accused the Washington Post of having “lost all journalistic legitimacy” for supporting the Chinese Communist Party’s cover-up tactics.

Ted Cruz had accused Glenn Kessler of stirring up “propaganda” in response to a video linked by Kessler at the time, in which it was suggested that an accidental escape of SARS-CoV-2 from a bio-lab was highly “doubtful”. Kessler responded to this, again caustically at the time, as follows: “We are dealing with facts, so the public can form its own judgment in this case.”

In the meantime, Kessler has become considerably more meek, and now even feels compelled to chalk up his former “fact-checks”. For in the meantime, a massive shitstorm has descended on Kessler in the social media after the “fact-checking pope” of the Washington Post wrote a new report entitled “How the Wuhan lab leak theory has suddenly gained credibility” (see graphic above).

Media recognize their credibility problem
It is the now retired science editor of the New York Times, Nicholas Wade, who has entered the debate to warn of a destroyed credibility of the media due to their former Wuhan coverage. One question may be allowed at this point: How much deeper should the media’s credibility actually go downhill?

At the beginning of the year, it became known that trust in serious reporting by the mainstream media in the United States had sunk to a new all-time low. It could well be that these developments might seem to shake up the ladies and gentlemen in the newsrooms for once, since on May 22, a column on the Washington Post site was headlined as follows: The Media Has A Big Credibility Problem (report is behind a pay wall).

Oh, really? Self-awareness is the first road to recovery, as the saying goes. Not only the Washington Post and its “fact-checking pope” Glenn Kessler, but also other media outlets have been accused of unconditionally and uncritically parroting statements made last year by “luminaries” such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and the World Health Organization (WHO) about the possible origin of Covid-19.

Uncritical dissemination of the government narrative and denigration of critical spirits
There has been little or no mainstream investigation and questioning of this issue. According to Nicholas Wade, the media has once again failed to “take off its own political-ideological glasses” to overlook circumstantial evidence and possibly emerging facts. To make matters worse, it can be said that critical minds have been made out to be school children by so-called “fact-checkers” like Glenn Kessler who are not in their right minds and spread “conspiracy theories.”

With reference to Nicholas Wade, persistent propaganda efforts by the Chinese Communist Party, which had suppressed the emergence and dissemination of early information about Covid-19 in Wuhan, could be observed. Nicholas Wade himself was a staff writer for the Science Times section of the New York Times between 1982 and 2012.

Chinese Communist Party Propaganda Fueled by Blindness of Western Media
In the interview with Mark Levin linked above, Nicholas Wade went on to say that it was not only this fact that caused many people to lose faith, but.

“the blindness of the American and Western media has only further fueled such a development.”

The media, according to Nicholas Wade, is too polarized to look at scientific issues for their own sake. Continuous political whitewashing is simply no longer enough for many people in an information society, which is why increasing segments of the population are trying to get to the bottom of things by using a wide variety of sources.

Illumination of all perspectives necessary – cross-connections in view
It is still not clear which source is responsible for the outbreak of Covid-19, says Nicholas Wade, so that this fact alone should lead to looking at and illuminating things and developments from the perspective of all possible scenarios.

A rogue, who thinks evil thereby, could be perhaps also asserted, if one considers that Dr. Anthony Fauci because of its indirect financing promise in favor of function profit researches in the high security laboratory of Wuhan in these days in its homeland increasingly under pressure gets.

More and more, it is becoming apparent that it is important to put the cross-links among certain players in the scientific, medical and pharmaceutical industries through their paces in order to perhaps get a better picture of what goals these individuals may actually be pursuing on the basis of the resulting findings.

According to Nicholas Wade, there is now some evidence that SARS-CoV-.2 may have escaped from a laboratory. For this reason alone, Nicholas Wade feels that the National Institute of Health (NIH) has a duty to thoroughly investigate the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Did “the media” want to seek the truth?
A report in Britain’s Daily Mail said over the weekend that two renowned virologists had now established “unique fingerprints” from analyzed SARS-CoV-2 samples that pointed solely to the coronavirus having resulted from laboratory manipulation.

Meanwhile, it has also become known how Dr. Anthony Fauci saw things in 2012, when America’s “pandemic pope” argued at the time that the potential benefits and findings from gain-of-function research outweighed the risk of a virus potentially escaping from a lab in the wake of an accident and causing a global pandemic.

This has been reported on by The Australian outlet, among others. To return to Nicholas Wade, he criticizes the media for being blind and not doing their necessary research and work. Another question arises in light of this statement: did “the media” want such a thing in the first place?

U.S. investigations and Chinese propaganda machinery underway
Meanwhile, while U.S. President Joe Biden has made the decision to give domestic intelligence agencies a ninety-day period to present their own findings about a possible escape of SARS-CoV-2 from a high-security laboratory in Wuhan and about the origin of the coronavirus, the Chinese leadership’s media machine is firing on all cylinders.

Last Thursday, the spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Zhao Lijian, reaffirmed his thesis, already made last year, according to which the new coronavirus originated in Fort Detrick in the US state of Maryland. According to his statement, the U.S. military would be involved in these developments.

Governments fire former “conspiracy theories” at each other – cover-up attempts of the fact checkers
Be that as it may, all of a sudden governments around the globe are firing around their ears the thesis about an escape of SARS-CoV-2 from a high-security laboratory, which has been called a “conspiracy theory” by so-called “fact checkers” over the past year.

Moreover, how does it fit into this picture that the “scientific saint” Dr. Anthony Fauci is now finally openly ranting about the possibility of an escape of SARS-CoV-2 from a high-security laboratory in Wuhan, China?

Wasn’t this exactly what observers like the highly renowned bioweapons expert Dr. Francis Boyle, who is now ostracized by the U.S. government and the Western media according to his own statement, had been predicting since the beginning of the emergence of SARS-CoV-2?

In the spring of last year, Dr. Francis Boyle had stated in interviews regarding the virus research going on in bio-labs around the globe as follows:

“All my life I have warned exactly of such a super-disaster – and now that super-disaster has occurred. There you have it.”

The role of the media in this global tragedy was also recently addressed by Helen Buyniski on the site of the Russian broadcaster RT. Buyniski concluded that now that all eyes are on relevant media, which last year still tried to discredit these views as “conspiracy theories of the most abstruse kind,” they are becoming more and more meek – which, however, will not change the fact that “fact-checkers” did not want to openly admit their failures, but rather tried to sweep them under the rug.

Mainstream media even supported Fauci’s cover-up tactics
Instead of critically analyzing any form of information from the very beginning – and thus since the outbreak of the global pandemic – the mainstream media, according to Buyniski, did nothing other than read the proverbial lips of officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci, who were well embedded in their own media landscape, in order to take their statements at face value at all times and to make them the norm for everything that was allowed to be published and said about the pandemic situation.

Thus, Dr. Anthony Fauci had been portrayed in the mainstream media to date as an infallible pandemic pope whose statements could not be questioned at any time. Rather, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s statements and dictates were in no way subjected to even any “fact-checking activities”, but mainstream media had even assisted in supporting Dr. Anthony Fauci’s obfuscation tactics – whenever it had become obvious that Fauci had contradicted himself and/or whose previously made statements simply made no sense from a real point of view.

Animal market theory was simply upheld
Immediately at the beginning of the pandemic, the sale and consumption of “sick bats” at an animal market in Wuhan, China, was officially blamed for the outbreak. This had not even changed after the Chinese Communist Party’s media mouthpiece, the Global Times, among others, had pointed out early on that the animal market in Wuhan was NOT the source of the coronavirus outbreak.

Almost every time an epidemic breaks out on the Asian continent, the World Health Organization (WHO) and other health authorities say that an animal market industry that is very difficult to regulate is responsible for these outbreaks, Buyniski added.

It should be noted that, as of this writing, there has not even been an official announcement of which person might be patient zero, the first person in the world infected with SARS-CoV-2. This may have something to do with the early cover-up tactics of the Beijing government, with the active assistance of WHO chief Thedros Ghebreyesus, at the very beginning of the pandemic outbreak.

Most recently, Fox News anchorman Tucker Carlos publicly accused the World Health Organization (WHO), the media, and Dr. Anthony Fauci of lying because these protagonists have been dismissing and downplaying the high-security laboratory theory for more than a year now.

Fauci’s constructed cult status
Meanwhile, U.S. Senator Tom Cotton has also publicly accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of using “verbiage” and trying to conceal the origin of Covid-19 because of his own involvement in gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Unlike the Chinese, Dr. Anthony Fauci had held ironclad to the sea-food-market hypothesis until just a few days ago, even as his colleagues had long begun to distance themselves from the theory with all due caution.

Helen Buyniski concludes in her report that despite all the flip-flops, twists and turns, and changing advice and recommendations on the part of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the media would always have remained on his side. There had not even been the slightest criticism of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s statements in the media when he had started to contradict himself now and then. Along the lines of “Hey, who’s the practicing physician here, you or me?”

According to Buyniski, this helped create an almost untouchable and quasi-religious aura around the octogenarian professor, who was even nominated for “Sexiest Man Alive” of the year by at least one publication in a most amazing way.

This does not change anything at the information-technical damage, which Dr. Anthony Fauci caused since Pandemie beginning as high-ranking advisors of the US government. His appearance on the infamous 60 Minutes program in March of last year, in which Fauci advised viewers not to wear face masks and insisted that this material, which was only sparsely available at the time, should be reserved for health personnel alone, certainly remains unforgotten.

Nonetheless, state after state had subsequently instituted a mask mandate, leaving the American public in an unholy state of confusion. While Dr. Anthony Fauci later revised and retracted his statements at the time, the CDC, for its part, had intervened last April to require Americans to wear a face mask in certain locations.

Amid the emerging chaos surrounding the 2020 political elections, Fauci had been doing his best to bolster his own credibility. When it began to emerge that states such as Texas and Florida, which had since officially shelved their mask mandates, were performing significantly better than states such as New York and California in terms of coronavirus infections and related hospitalizations, a change in the official narrative was needed, according to Helen Buyniski.

And suddenly, the focus was only on the vaccination campaign….
When the vaccines finally came on the market, Dr. Anthony Fauci saw his chance coming. Suddenly dropping the bat theory, his full concentration from that point on was only on a vaccination campaign in the country that was progressing as quickly as possible, he said.

Dr. Anthony Fauci had also joined a committee including well-known journalists, “fact-checkers” and political figures to fight so-called “disinformation.” With the topic of “disinformation” Dr. Anthony Fauci, referring to Helen Buyniski, seemed to be at least well acquainted.

Suddenly it had been said on the part of the members of this committee that “they themselves are no longer convinced” that Covid-19 had come into being in a natural way. For this reason, it was necessary to investigate what exactly had happened in the People’s Republic of China in order to uncover related findings. Until that day, Dr. Anthony Fauci had been absolutely certain that the sale and consumption of bats – and therefore a natural origin – had been responsible for the coronavirus outbreak.

Suddenly, all that information, which had been rigorously doubted and demonized for well over a year, came out into the open. To this day, there has been no official apology from those scientists and journalists who for a year had derided others – and deeper-digging minds – as “morons” and “conspiracy theorists.”

DepthTrade Outlook

It will probably take until the next Ice age for such an apology. It is certainly not a matter of being right, but rather of the way in which media obviously allow themselves to be harnessed in order to spread certain and selected narratives in public.

The fact that fewer and fewer people believe in these official narratives is certainly not surprising in view of current developments and events. Why is it that in a society that is repeatedly described as “open” and “plural,” such topics are not allowed to be discussed openly? Have you perhaps also asked yourself this question now and then lately?
